Angella P. Current-Felder Women of Color Scholars Program

GBHEM created the Woman of Color Scholars program in 1989 to address the absence of women of color faculty in theological education, especially in United Methodist schools. A major part of the WOC program is creating a safe space for mentorship from established Women of Color Scholars, as well as a shared experience and support among other women scholars.
This scholarship is for females born of an African, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American parent (at least one parent); pursuing a PhD or ThD within the field of religious studies who desires to serve on the faculty or in an executive administrative position at a UM-related Theological School.
