Supporting a Growing Worldwide Network of Schools, Colleges, Seminaries, and Universities
Since 2008, GBHEM has established 11 regional Leadership, Education and Development Hubs (LEAD Hubs) around the world. Each LEAD Hub is a part of the agency’s strategic plan to connect with the United Methodist Church worldwide through collaboration with Pan-Methodist and Ecumenical leaders.
Educating Locally, Transforming Globally
GBHEM LEAD Hubs connect the agency’s Methodist Global Education Fund for Leadership Development (MGEFLD) and regional associations of Methodist-related educational institutions.
LEAD Hubs address the needs of Methodist-related projects and programs and promote education and leadership development opportunities within local churches and communities.
GBHEM has 11 LEAD Hub Executive Directors supporting regional and contextual
leadership, education, and development worldwide:

A Worldwide Decentralized Network of Regional & International Associations
GBHEM collaborates with regional and international associations, connecting students, faculty, staff, families, and communities worldwide. Our partner associations bring awareness about Wesleyan and Methodist education and promote leadership development.
International Grants and Scholarships Program (GRASP)
Through the International Grants and Scholarship Program (GRASP), GBHEM has established a program to help offset the costs of education for students studying at a Methodist-related institution within a Central Conference. This is a competitive, need-based scholarship for United Methodist students currently enrolled in a college, seminary or university.
Applications are open 1 NOVEMBER until 1 MARCH each year.
