RECENT ACTIVITIES
From LEAD Hub we propose to accompany and advise the Methodist Churches in the Latin American and Caribbean area and their Educational Institutions.
These Churches are diverse in their composition, size, cultures, language and theological emphases. Taking into account this diversity, we propose several actions in which we work together with each of them by establishing networks.
To carry out this task we work jointly and complementary with the LEAD Hub Brazil.
Some of the actions we carry out:
- Accompaniment and support to different methodist educational institutions
- Accompaniment and joint work for associations of educational institutions: ALAIME
- Partnerships with different agencies and association
- Networking in theological formation: REDIME
- Train the givers in generous church (fundraising)
Three recent activities, projects, or events that you have been involved with connected to your LEAD Hub work.
1- SUPPORT TO PASTORAL TEAMS AND CHAPLAINCIES IN CONJUNCTION WITH ALAIME
Virtual and in-person meetings for pastoral teams and educational chaplaincies.
We work on the various areas that educational pastoral care covers.
We propose training and exchange spaces between teams, establishing connections between educational institutions.
2- SUPPORT FOR UNIVERSITY OF THE LATIN AMERICAN EDUCATIONAL CENTER. (UCEL)
Rosario – Argentina
Sponsor and collaborators of the Diploma in Educational Pastoral. Virtual education.
This diploma responds to the requests of educational institutions and churches in the region to have a specific training space for people who work in the educational pastoral teams of our schools.
3- ACCOMPANIMENT AND SUPPORT TO DIFFERENT METHODIST EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
We collaborate with special projects and actions that educational institutions undertake to enrich their educational work and Christian witness.
4- TRAIN THE GIVERS IN GENEROUS CHURCH (FUNDRAISING)
In partnership with Scott Gilpin – Director of Worldwide Development and Fundraising Resources – and the sector he works in at GBHEM, we promote training for Churches and Educational Institutions in fundraising from the perspective of generosity.
The objective is to provide the conditions for each Church to achieve economic and financial autonomy based on the culture of generosity.
5-PARTNERSHIPS WITH UPPER ROOM
Meditations prepared by teachers, students and members of the community of educational institutions in Latin America.
